I've worked on everything from shark/seahorse shapeshifter romance to medieval hagiography to advanced kinesiology and standardized testing. My concrete background is in editing and publishing, curriculum and instructional design. Supporting special needs children to be their most independent selves supporting authors to craft their best stories supporting professionals who need high-level training to keep them on point, at their sharpest, for whatever comes their way. My most fulfilling jobs have always been support roles. So I love living in the background, contriving situations for people to feel like they can – and should – shine. I love that if you’re good at it, feeding the fire goes both ways. I can grab a seed of any conversation and watch a person light up when I craft that opening. Transcending the factors that separate people, those quirks that make them hesitant to comfortably connect, is the coolest thing in life, and I love being good at it.
